Welcome to the Scottish Clans DNA Project
| Scottish Clans is offering all DNA projects the opportunity to use these programs that are already mounted on the server and fully operational. The DNA project admin for each DNA project has full control of their own project and how the various DNA members information is displayed. Obviously the most benefit will be available for European projects ( Britain, Scandavian, northern europe( where the current testing has already shown similar DNA patterns) The current DNA project version is now operational and future versions will provide additional features in the near future.
Features and description Most folks will want to proceed directly to the list of available pedigrees to see if their family line is already being tested as a part of the project. Anyone can view these pedigrees as authorized by the project admin , however, only DNA Project participants can upload/modify pedigrees in this section. If you are a participant needing to upload your information, please see the Posting Your Pedigree article. |
DNA-PAT™ is a fully featured, web based project management tool, designed specifically for DNA projects. It provides capabilites that cannot be found in any other project management, database or spreadsheet tool, and, since it is written by an active DNA project administrator, you can be sure that it carries many of the abilities and features that you need to manage a successful project, including customizable, web-ready results page templates that simply "drop"' into your website.
Features and description This software helps manage everything from your participants individual pedigrees to family documentation. The DNA version builds on the version 5 standard and allows an admin to empower project participants to manage their own lineages including the ability to upload their GEDCOM files. It also provides views, not available in TNG standard, that give visitors snapshot views of project lineages. It's a fantastic way to publicize which families are included in your project. |
